It’s April and that means the beginning of “Iced Coffee Season”!
As the temperatures begin to warm, I begin to think about my favorite iced coffee recipe, “Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee.” I’d like to share the recipe with you, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do! I always add Inbru Coffee Flavors, agave syrup and a splash of almond milk, for a slightly sweet flavored coffee treat that’s gluten free, low calorie and low carb!
Here’s the recipe:
2/3 cup freshly ground coffee (medium-coarse grind)
3 cups cold water (filtered is best)
6 scoops of your favorite Inbru Coffee Flavor
1 jar, with lid
Fine sieve, lined with a paper coffee filter; or a gold filter from a drip brewer, unlined
1 tsp. light agave syrup (warm it to dissolve)
Combine coffee, your favorite Inbru Coffee Flavor, and water in the jar. Cover and let sit (at room temperature) 12 hours, or overnight
Pour coffee through the lined sieve or unlined gold filter, twice. This will be your concentrate.
Fill a tall glass with ice and pour enough cold water to one-third the way up. Pour in concentrate (you may want to leave a little room at the top.) Stir in a teaspoon of dissolved agave syrup (you can use honey or any other sweetener) and a splash of almond milk, if desired.
The concentrate can be refrigerated for a couple of days. You can also use the concentrate to make hot coffee. Pour equal parts concentrate and cold water into a mug and heat in microwave.
